All students must note that:
- It is student responsibility to comply with and to be present at the Examination Hall and follow Examination Timetable i.e. the stipulated time, date and place of the examination.
- With regard to emergency, if a student is unable to sit for a particular examination, he/she must notify the mater to Registration Department in writing and submit Medical certificates at an earliest possible date
- To sit for the examinations students must attain minimum 80% attendance rate and comply with all academic requirements.
Attendance Requirements

Thus, it is students’ responsibility to provide compassionate and compelling reasons for their absence. To ensure that students meet minimum attendance requirements, the following procedures are followed:
- Student attendances are marked every hour by the lecturer. If the student is absent from classes or lectures for any reason, he/she will be marked absent in attendance register.
- If the student is late for class by more than five minutes, leaves the class more than five minutes before the end of class, or is absent from the class for more than five minutes, he/she will be marked absent for that hour.
- Sick leave/any Emergency leave is counted as an absence. If the student submits a medical certificate/a proof of emergency, it will be copied and kept on the student’s file and the original returned to the student.
- Each fortnight the students’ attendance records are reconciled and assessed by the coordinator or administrative staff
- When actual attendance falls below 85%, the student will be informed that he/ she is at risk for attaining minimum attendance requirements.
