PROGRAM DESCRIPTION | Mechatronics Engineering is one of the vital engineering fields that covers various important sectors such as mechanical design, manufacturing processes, mechanics, CAD/CAM, electrical, electronics, microcontrollers, embedded systems, finite element analysis, industrial standard modelling, simulation, fluid dynamics, robotics and automation, additive manufacturing, automotive, marine engineering, etc. This programme covers all these sector requirements and provides a wide scope in job opportunities for the graduating students. This programme provides sound engineering and technological knowledge in the specialized field through state-of-the-art laboratories and modern simulation tools. It also incorporates a capstone project, mini projects and final year project modules in order to train the students to graduate with creative and innovative solutions to complex engineering problems. The industrial training module provides the opportunity for students to experience real-world working environments. Other soft skills such as effective communication and presentation skills, entrepreneurial skills, professional ethics, safety, environment and sustainability skills, and project management skills are developed through various engineering activities. Various technologies of Industry 4.0 are incorporated in the syllabus and prepare them for the job market. Further, this programme provides an excellent pathway for professional practice and recognition as a qualified professional engineer. |
