Scholarships
There are four categories of scholarships available for study at Villa College.
Villa College / Villa International High School Scholarships
VC / VIHS Scholarships are awarded to eligible VIHS graduates. The programme enables 2 outstanding students selected every year to study for undergraduate programme they are eligible for.
The programme provides full funding for full-time courses at undergraduate level, normally a 3-year Bachelor’s degree, in any field at VC they are qualified for.
Target group
The Villa College / VIHS scholarship programme is aimed at top academic achievers from Villa International High School.
Location/campus
Selected students have the option to study at any campus where the chosen programme is offered. Students have the liberty to change the campus during the study period, provided that the programme is offered at the preferred campus.
Scholarship inclusions
The scholarship covers the full tuition fee for the duration of the course. This is defined as the normal duration a student takes to complete the programme by taking the maximum credit offered in each semester.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a VC / VIHS Scholarship, the student must
Be a Maldivian national
Meet the entry requirements of the chosen programme
Must be a graduate of VIHS
Have graduated from VIHS no more than two years before the time of application
Not be an active student of Villa College or any tertiary education institute at the time of application
Villa College Open Scholarships
VC Open Scholarships are awarded to students who meet the entry criteria of programmes offered at VC.
One scholarship is awarded annually in each category. The categories are as follows.
Foundation
Undergraduate
Postgraduate
Target group
Any student who meets the entry criteria
Any student currently studying at Villa College
Location/campus
Selected students have the option to study at any campus where the chosen programme is offered. Students have the liberty to change the campus during the study period, provided that the programme is offered at the preferred campus.

Be a Maldivian national
Must have a confirmed placement from Villa College
Villa College Community Engagement Scholarships
VC community engagement scholarships are awarded to the local councils of the islands where Villa College campuses are based. Scholarships are awarded annually to students who meet the criteria specified below.
At campuses where student enrolment is between 50-100 student, one scholarship will be awarded to the local council.
At campuses where student enrolment is between 100-150 student, 2 scholarships will be awarded to the local council.
One scholarship is awarded from each category, annually. The categories are as follows.
Foundation

Be a Maldivian national
Have a placement from VC for a programme in the applied category
Must reside in the constituency of the particular campus
Villa College Alumni Scholarships
Villa College Alumni Scholarships are awarded to Villa College alumni. These scholarships are awarded to one student from each of the following categories.
Undergraduate
Postgraduate
Target group
The Villa College Alumni Scholarship programme is for eligible Villa College alumni.
Location/campus
Selected students have the option to study at any campus where the chosen programme is offered. Students have the liberty to change the campus during the study period, provided that the programme is offered at the preferred campus.

Be a Maldivian national
Must be an alumni of Villa College
Must have graduated from VC no more than a semester before the time of application
