Academic Board

The academic board is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the highest standards in learning, teaching and research. It does this by providing an environment for the academic community. The first formal meeting of this Academic Board was convened on 25 June 2008 under the chairmanship of the College Rector Dr. Ahmed Anwar.

Academic Board is the primary forum of the College for the discussion and resolution of academic matters. It not only develops academic policies but also provides advice to Rector and the College Council on policies and procedural matters relating to academic affairs. Academic Board is responsible for the development, approval, monitoring, reporting and adjudication of academic policies. Academic Board is also responsible for ensuring academic standards of staff through advice on appointments, and promotions of academic staff. Academic Board formulates and review academic aspects of the College strategic plan. Academic Board ensures consistency, quality and continuity in the areas of learning and teaching and research. It is the body responsible for the maintenance of academic standards through quality reviews and audit of academic bodies of the College such as Faculties.
