On Monday 21st August 2023, Villa College Aviation Club in collaboration with Faculty of Business Management successfully conducted an industry speaker session featuring Mr. Mifzal Ahmed, a renowned aviation professional, facilitated by Mr. Nikhil, lecturer at Faculty of Business Management (FBM).

Mifzal Ahmed is an aviation professional currently working in the strategy team at easyJet UK - one of the largest low-cost airlines in the world. Before that, he worked at Flybe, UK and was co-founder of Mega Maldives Airlines. Mifzal has a Masters's in Air Transport Management from the University of Cranfield, a Masters's in Economics and Finance from the University of Queensland, and a Bachelors in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford. In addition to his broad aviation experience, Mifzal has also worked as an economic consultant for KPMG UK, and an investment analyst for the Islamic Development Bank in Saudi Arabia. Mifzal will be speaking to students about the importance of strategy in the success or failure of an airline, as well as answering questions about the opportunities in pursuing a career in aviation.
