Programme Details
Introduction
The aim of this programme is to produce graduates for pre-schools and early childhood institutes to meet the country’s demand for highly qualified and trained early childhood teachers. The programme is designed to develop participants’ knowledge, skills, capabilities and attitudes in early childhood teaching.
General Entry Criteria
2 passes in A Level/HSC (At GCE A/L, a pass is considered E and above. HSC pass is considered C and above) OR
Attainment of a Level 4 qualification in a related field OR
Attainment of Level 4 Foundation Study Programme approved for the specific Diploma programme.

- Course Fee: MVR 3750 per month x 36 months
(MVR 2,308 per month under the government free degree scheme) On the successful completion of this programme, students will be able to:
Develop teachers who can implement well-thought-out and articulated lessons that contribute towards children’s growth and development across all the developmental domains: cognitive, linguistic, emotional, social and physical.
Guide teachers to provide a stimulating and nurturing environment where children feel free to explore and play.
Establish a welcoming and supportive learning environment.
Help children develop self-confidence and identity that positively relates to their families and cultures.
Explore recent research on the challenges and dilemmas that school managers are encountering in early childhood settings.
