Villa College shares sustainability best practices with St. Ignatius University, Kebale (Uganda)

Villa College recently shared its sustainability expertise with St. Ignatius University, Kebale, in Uganda, through an online webinar delivered by Vice Rector, Dr Ali Najeeb. Titled "Villa College Maldives' Best Practices in Sustainability," the session outlined key initiatives the College has undertaken to promote sustainable practices across its operations, underscoring the value of strategic and meaningful work in this area.

The webinar was attended by members of the University Council of St. Ignatius University, Kebale, fostering institutional-level dialogue and exchange. A central insight from the session concerned the importance of aligning sustainability initiatives with the unique context of each institution, recognising the role of community, culture, and existing strengths in shaping impactful and lasting outcomes.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, during which Dr Najeeb addressed questions from participants, closing with a shared interest in future collaborative engagements. This initiative contributes to the advancement of Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), highlighting the role of global collaboration, knowledge sharing, and institutional partnerships in driving sustainable development.
